The historic city of Ayodhya is set to witness a momentous occasion as the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, a testament to a long-standing cultural and legal saga, unfolds over seven days from January 16 to 22. Central to these ceremonies is the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, a divine ritual signifying the consecration of the deity.

Key Events:

The schedule kicks off on January 16, with prayers and penance, leading up to the Parisar Pravesh of the idol on January 17. Notably, on January 18, the formal rituals commence, marking the placement of the idol at its position in the 'Garbh Griha' of the temple. The much-anticipated 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony is scheduled for January 22 at 12:20 pm, with the idol's placement decided by the auspicious muhurat determined by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi.

Pran Pratishtha Ceremony Details:

  • The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony involves several steps, beginning with purification rituals like Prayaschita and Karmakuti Poojan on January 16. The subsequent days feature diverse ceremonies such as Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, Aushadhadhivas, and more, each holding deep spiritual significance. The Dwadash Adhivas protocols, observed from January 16 to 21, lay the foundation for the grand event.

Adhivas Protocols and Acharyas:

  • The ceremony adheres to Shastriya protocols, featuring seven Adhivasas, overseen by 121 Acharyas. Shri Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid Ji takes charge, ensuring the coordination and direction of the proceedings, with the principal Acharya being Shri Luckshmikant Dixit of Kashi.

Distinguished Guests:

  • The Prana Pratishtha will witness the august presence of notable figures, including Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat, Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister of U.P. Yogi Adityanath, among others.

Inclusive Traditions:

  • The event symbolizes unity, welcoming Acharyas from diverse schools of spiritualism and representatives from over 150 traditions, including tribal communities. This unique inclusivity marks a historic moment in the cultural tapestry of Bharat.
